We know you have a lot of questions about selling your home. We have put together a list of the most common questions that we receive, to help get you started. You can then contact us to answer any additional questions and get started on selling your home!
What areas do you service?
We service the entire DFW Metroplex and surrounding areas. We have developed a system for selling homes and the system works well regardless of your exact location in the area.
How long will it take me to sell my home?
Our average days on market is currently between 60-90 days. The amount of time it takes to sell your home is dependent on how you price your home. We can discuss these strategies further when we prepare to list your home.
What do you charge?
We have marketing programs that range from 3-7% in total real estate commissions charged. We typically recommend setting up an initial consultation to decide which program will best suit your needs.
What should I do to get my home ready to list on the market?
We like to meet with you in person before you do anything. Often we find that sellers do much more than necessary and may invest money in areas that won't generate an appropriate return on investment. Talking to us will help set your priorities and will focus your efforts in an efficient manner.
How much will my home sell for?
Set up a consultation with us today! We will visit your home, evaluate the property in-person, and discuss your pricing options from there. You can also request a general home evaluation now for a rough estimate.
What should I do if I can't afford the home or I'm behind on my payments?
Your first step is always to contact your lender to discuss your situation and review your options. If you want to keep your home, try to pursue a loan modification. If you're interested in selling your home, view our short sale page!
Who pays the closing costs for selling a home?
Home sellers in Texas are responsible for their own closing costs, which can amount to around 1% of the sale amount. However, these costs vary from transaction to transaction, so if you're curious about how much your share of the closing costs will be, one of our agents would be happy to help you figure out what to expect when the time comes.
Do I need a home inspection when selling my home?
There are several pros and cons to doing a home inspection before selling your home. Known as a pre-inspection, a home seller may opt to complete a home inspection to identify what needs to be fixed before selling the home, so they're not caught off-guard during the closing process. However, home inspections are costly, and it doesn't necessarily guarantee that you're in the clear when the buyer brings in their own inspector.
